Attorney Matching Process

What is the LegalEASE referral process?

During the intake process, you may have noticed the highly detailed questions asked by the LegalEASE member specialist team regarding your case. This information is utilized by our matching team to leverage their unique relationships within our attorney network to match you quickly and efficiently with an attorney best suited to your legal matter and described preferences.

We like to think of ourselves as the “eHarmony of Legal Plans”, considering the compatibility and availability of the selected attorney to work with your legal needs.

The matching team will reach out to several network attorneys to discuss your case, determining who the best fit for you will be.

As soon as the best fit attorney is identified and agrees to consult with you on your matter, you will receive the necessary contact information to schedule your consultation.

How long does the matching and referral process take?

Typically, our attorney matching process takes 1-3 business days. In some rare instances, based on the complexity of your legal matter, your location, or other factors may extend that timeline. We will reach out to you throughout the matching process to ensure you are kept up to date on the progress with your referral.

Connecting with your Referred Attorney

How do I contact the attorney once I get their information?

Once you receive your referred attorney information, please reach out to the attorney office via the phone number provided at your earliest convenience. Typically, we recommend reaching out within 3 business days to ensure that the attorney office is expecting your call. When you call, you will be asked for your LegalEASE Case ID #, which is provided in your SMS messages, or otherwise available by calling the Member Specialist team at 800-562-2929. You will generally set up your complimentary 30-minute consultation with an office administrator or paralegal, however specific office policies vary based on the individual attorney practice.

I see the attorney website showcases a different type of legal matter than what I am seeking assistance with, what do I do?

The LegalEASE attorney referral process includes receiving acceptances from attorney offices to consult with you on your case. This means that the attorney or someone working within the attorney office has reviewed the generalities of your legal matter (location and matter type) prior to accepting your case for consultation.

It is common for an attorney office to utilize their website as more of a marketing tool for types of legal cases they would like to see more of, rather than expressing all types of legal matters they assist with.

What do I do if I do not hear back from my attorney today?

Attorney schedules are often at the mercy of the Court; therefore, we recommend waiting 3 business days prior to attempting to connect with their office after your first call. If you are still not hearing back from your attorney, please give LegalEASE a call at 800-562-2929 so that we may investigate further on your behalf.

What do I do if my attorney match does not meet my preferences, my location or declines assisting me with my matter?

If you do not want to move forward with the attorney provided to you via the referral service for any reason, please give us a call at 800-562-2929. We are happy to investigate additional referral options to provide you with.
