We created the following 3+ minute video to demonstrate the problem with just taking one plan over the others simply because of one company’s huge, recognizable name or because your client company has other benefits with that large company. A quick look at this video might help illustrate the real differentiator in legal plans and that it lies in the connecting Plan Members to Network Attorneys.

What you can see, is that when the matrices show the benefits and the attorney networks are about the same in the top three plans, the easy choice for HR is to default to the large, recognizable insurance company. But, now with the video, you can see two real conclusions related to how the legal plans actually perform:
 
  • 2 out of 3 top legal plans rely on the online directory as the only access method to connect to a Network Attorney – with only LegalEASE having a second Advocate-based Compatibility/Match system of access.
  • An estimated 40% of employees in those plans with only the online directory access infrastructure, show a lack of connection to a Network Attorney and employees end up abandoning the legal plan, leading to a lower and lower year-over-year participation rate in the plan. LegalEASE experiences increases in plan participation because of our emphasis on advocacy and providing members with help on our online directory, if needed.

Losing up to 40% a year in plan participation, all because employees who sign up for the legal plan come to find out that it does not perform as the employee expected, can seriously impact the growth and future participation rates in the legal plan.
